This year, in a game called CHARGED UPSM presented by Haas, FIRST® Robotics Competition teams will prepare for a challenge that is fully charged to inspire your team to see the potential of energy storage in a new light. Watch the season kickoff January 7, 2023 for the game reveal.
From the machines that move us to the food that sustains us to the wireless technologies that connect us, energy plays an essential role in keeping our world running. During our 2022-2023 robotics season, FIRST® ENERGIZE℠ presented by Qualcomm, FIRST teams across our programs will reimagine the future of sustainable energy and power their ideas forward.
To empower young people to be leaders and innovators, this year’s energy theme addresses global challenges related to United Nations Sustainable Development Goal #7 — focused on ensuring access to affordable, reliable, sustainable, and modern energy for all.
This is the moment to get energized to innovate.
Here’s a short video from Haas that explains how skills FIRST team members learn translate to work at Haas and other companies that offer great jobs and career opportunities.

Unfortunately, we need to cancel plans for our summer robotics plant. Our mentors and students are over-subscibed with work and projects this summer, so we will not have time to organize a full camp. We are working to plan a two-day “get to know robotics” session later in August or September for students on the island. Please visit our website at birobot.org for more information.
We plan to resume our robotics camp next summer!

Lights, camera, STEAM! Science, technology, engineering, arts, and math (STEAM) inspire big ideas, bold action – and creativity. Our skills make it possible to create art and experiences that bring us together, entertain us, and move us. During our 2023-2024 arts-inspired robotics season, FIRST® IN SHOWSM presented by Qualcomm, we will celebrate the roles our STEM skills play in the arts and design and build a world of endless possibilities.
The future is yours to create.

Here is the current schedule:
We are working on plans for our summer robotics camp. Right now, it looks like we will have enough older students to be mentors and run the camp. We plan to run a mini FRC season (in a week) and use VEX VR and the related physical robots for the competition.
Check back in May for final details and sign-up information.
