Accessibility and Accommodations
FIRST Robotics Canada strives to host inclusive, accessible events that enable all individuals, including individuals with different and varying needs, to engage fully.

Using this form, please let us know if you or your team members require any accommodations in order to participate. Some examples include:

  • Assistive Listening Devices
  • Captioning
  • Reserved Accessible Seating
  • Large Print
  • Wheelchair Access
  • Scent-free Room

Note: There will be gender neutral washrooms, a quiet room, and multi-faith prayer rooms at the event. There will be an EDI Ambassador at each event to help facilitate accommodations. If you have any questions, comments or concerns you can contact them through pit admin.

Ramadan 2025

Ramadan, the holy month for our Muslim attendees and community members, will be taking place during this event.

During Ramadan, individuals observe fasting from dawn to sunset, which includes refraining from eating or drinking during daylight hours. They break their fast at Iftar, which occurs at sunset. This time ranges from 6:00 pm – 7:45 pm.

Some of our event attendees may be observing this practice and need certain accommodations such as breaks to pray or to break their fast. This may include organising to have dinner available for them at that specific time.

We encourage all mentors to have an open conversation with their students and colleagues to make accommodations that work for them as needs may differ from person to person.

Multi faith prayer rooms will be available. They will be open and signage will be up for at least 60 minutes after Iftar or when pits close, whichever is later. If you need help locating the prayer room, please see pit admin.

If you have any questions, please feel free to email lisa.ramraj@firstroboticscanada.org.

T-Shirts
Here is a sneak peak of the commemorative event shirt. They will be available at the FIRST Canada Swag booth for $15!

Thank you for choosing our event – we look forward to welcoming you to the Athletic Centre at Niagara College’s Welland Campus. Feel free to contact our FIRST Robotics Canada Event Lead, Lisa Ramraj at any time if you have questions.

Good luck during your build!
